Today Mick and Chad went to play tennis for one last time and I sat on Chad's deck finishing my book. It was wonderful to have a little quiet time and enjoy the sun (especially after I heard about all the snow back at home). Nothing's better than a good book, Diet Pepsi, M&Ms, and warm sun.

When they came back, we decided to go shopping for souvenirs, so Chad took us downtown to this great shop and then to his "silver guy." After we bought everything that we wanted, we went to a delicious Mexican restaraunt for dinner. It was a pretty laid back last night in Mexico.

We woke up this morning relaxed, packed and ready to go home. We went to Ricardo's to say goodbye and thanks for his hospitality and he made us his usual milkshake, and then drove us to the airport.

When we got to the Seattle airport, we heard that Snoqualime Pass had been closed off and on all week and that it was supposed to be stormy the next day. So, Mick and I decided to drive through to Ellensburg that night. We reached Ellensburg around 1am and decided to stay the night and continue our drive the next morning.

We made it home the next morning and it was like we had never left. Isn't it strange how that happens?

I have really enjoyed reading about your trip! The picture below of the iguana and the spider - ahhhh! I am totally jealous of the zip lining, always wanted to do that. What a fun vacation! It's definitely on my list of place to visit.
That's why it's called home. Cause it never feels like you left. What a great vacation. When do you get to go again? I'm slow in checking anything lately. To answer your FB question, I don't know how to tag. Kylie does, but I haven't asked her. Not even sure what it means yet:)
What a fun & peaceful conclusion to a great journey! Glad you were able to enjoy some wonderful quiet sunshine. That's one of my favorite things in life! =) I'm sure yours was funner since it was EXOTIC sunshine, but that's good cause it sounds like this trip was exactly what you needed. Have a stupendous day!
Isn't that so weird!? It can feel like you have been gone forever, but as soon as you get home it feels like you never left. I think my least favorite part of coming back to the Tri-Cities is the smell. We live in a smelly whole. But, I love it anyway. It has been so fun to read about your vacation, and your pictures are amazing. I hope one day I will be brave enough to do something like that. Just curious, what book were you reading? And how did the boys react to seeing you again? I hope we will have the chance to catch up soon...
That beach, the chair, a book, and some M&M's sounds like what I need today. Glad you guys had a great time. What a bummer to come back to snow and cold. Brrr!
I feel warm reading this! m&m's yummness, looking out over the ocean with a book! Heaven! So fun! Wait did I leave a comment to get the snowman? Did you already drawa? Put my name in there, I remember going to your house visiting from Othello and eating all your recess peanute butter cups while I was babbling about something! :) I think we hung out more when I lived in Othello than now living two blocks away! :(
