With this HOT weather we've been having, and due to my husband being against slip-n-slides and pools (his lawn is too precious) - the boys and I took a trip to the Dollar Tree for water fun.
They are having a blast with their 29" water blaster tubes, the water buckets to refill their toys with (or just to dump on eachother), their squirt guns, the two packages of water balloons, and their splash balls. All for $10 - nothing like cheap entertainment!

Wow, that was fast. Looks like the kids are having a great time. I can't believe this heat. It's so exhausting. Glad you guys had fun. You'll have to come over and swim this week.

There is nothing like cheap entertainment. I love how the simple things are sometimes the best. If they hold together long enough. And if it breaks, oh well. It was worth the 10 dollars of fun.

I love the looks on their faces...pure delight! I too am trying to enjoy these "inexpensive" days while they last...all too soon it will be "I need gas money, date money etc"

p.s. on Colton's cake the eyes are gummi lifesavors with yellow sweattarts on top and the mouth is just pink laffy taffy but it looks like already chewed gum we've decided.

I love that kind of fun, Jodi! Megan just got a slip and slide for her birthday and Nate makes us move it around on the lawn so I know what you mean about the yard = ) Great to hear about your vacation. You are one brave woman! I'm very impressed! It did look like fun--
