Me: "Why do you think that?"
Davis: "I sneeze everytime I look at it."

In noticing Jake (8) had the letters "P-I-M-P" written on his knuckles...
Me in a shocked voice: Do you know what that means?
Jake: No.
Me: Why are you writing words you don't know on your hand?
Mick: Where did you hear that word?
Jake looking totally confused and innocent: The P is for pinkie, the I is for index, M is for middle, and P for pointer.

Bennett said, "Mom, life is good."

Bennett told his 5 year old girlfriend, "Cheese makes me toot."

Bennett and Kyle received "Honesty" awards at their school assembly.
Me: "Why do you think that?"

Serious pain! I can't believe he can smile! Poor kid.
I can't stop thinking about what happened today! I keep replaying everything over and over in my head. He is such a little trooper! He was so brave. I know this bruise will get better but it looks HORRIBLE today! His poor eye! You can't even see his eyelashes, it's so swollen!!
The most ironic thing happened after you guys left. Cameron pitched a baseball to Brady and yep, it hit his nose! It's not nearly to the extent of Davis' injury but Brady's bridge to his nose is swollen and he's getting a tiny black eye! It seriously doesn't even compare to Davis' face but can you believe it? I think it's called sympathy pain or something!!
Tell Davis he's in our prayers for a speedy recovery. What a huge blessing today was. Hope he (and you) can try and relax a little this weekend.

I felt so bad for your injury. I felt so bad that it was hard to play my soccer game. Hope it feels better soon. I'm surprised that you were so brave.

Kim - You were seriously my hero today! I don't know what I would have done today without you and your help. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Davis is (thankfully) sleeping and I'm headed to bed soon. I still feel a little overwhelmed and am trying to relax some.

I can't believe Brady got hit in the nose too. That's just crazy! I'll have to let Davis know he's not alone. He's becoming a little self conscious of his face.
Is that a smile on your face in that one picture Davis? I am so sorry that you got hurt, hope you're feeling better soon. You are going to have one huge black eye. We'll miss you in Primary tomorrow.

Cameron - I'm feeling fine right now. I'm not going through as much pain as I was yesterday when I got hit by the baseball. Davis
i love the way the slide show goes slow across his face on the beanbag and he looks normal, normal, and then bam there it is! :( Eric said to tell him that chicks dig scars and broken noses!
