Update on Davis

Thought you may be interested - Davis is doing so much better. The swelling has gone down, he can open his eye almost all the way, and most importantly he's in less pain. He's just a little embarassed by having a green/purple "chipmunk cheek" and a bloody black eye (he's pretty colorful). I tell him he looks great! And if you saw him the day it happened - you'd definately agree. Thanks everyone for your concern, it means a lot to us.

You can even tell just in the pics how the swelling had gone down! At least he can open his eye now! Looks better!

He does look so much better, but where's the smile that we saw the day it happened? Hang in there Davis, you're looking great.

Now he is not smiling like he was before when it was really swollen. Davis. You are looking better than ever. Too bad its not Halloween. That could have fit in nicely with a great costume. You are looking good. Hang in there. It will get better.

Oh, he looks so sad! He looks fantastic though! I can't believe how fast he's healing. I thought he was in for a much longer road after seeing him on Saturday. Amazing! Is he back in school yet?

You can see how the bruising goes all the way down his cheek. Poor kid, I bet it hurts to sleep.

That still looks pretty painful, poor guy! :( I won't tell him that though!

Davis...I'm totally glad you are feeling better. I just want you to know how tough you look. I always wanted a nice shiner when I was young. I know, I'm weird. Hang in there mom...looks like he is going to be alright.

I listened in horror as Kim told me this story in detail. I felt like I was there. Seriously, Jodi, if you could have picked anyone in the world to be there with you at that game that could deal with that, you couldn't have picked a better person!! Kim is so great in emergencies (especially involving blood) and so caring to other people's kids. What a lifesaver! I'm so glad Davis is healing so well and didn't need surgery!

Poor boy! I'm sure you are all counting your blessings that it wasn't worse. It looks like it's healing well.

Mattie said that Davis is looking much better. I didn't get a close up but am so glad that he is.

He is looking so much better (he doesn't agree though). I bet Mattie got an up close and personal look in Primary class yesterday. He says he's getting a little tired of all the questions, stares, comments, etc. I told him they'll stop before he knows it and then he'll be dying for the attention again. :)

Are you getting tired of being questioned by the police yet Jodi?
LOL......

That's so funny that you say that Jan! Because I seriously have wondered what people think when they see us walking together. They definately stare and I can see the wheels-a-turnin in their heads. No one's tried to step in to Davis's rescue though.
