Is he totally in pain this morning? That palette expander looks like it hurts. Does he wear it all the time?? Yikes. Did you get to play Guitar Hero??? :)
He looks too young for braces. I waited till all their teeth fell out and came in. But, I also put it off because of $$$$$ I didn't want to pay, but now I've got one paid for and one half way. I think I'll wait on Dallin so I can have a year off.
I'm curious. Did Kyle call from school today and tell you he couldn't eat lunch? For about a week you'll wonder why in the world you decided to have it done. Devon ate so much Top Ramen. Anyway, it gets better. Promise. We'll have to get a side by side pic of the two of them and their torture devices.
I would have put it off too Nicki, but he has a pretty bad underbite that needs fixed before his jaw stops growing - that's why we had to start now. And Kim, he did okay eating - so far. But the nurse did call home saying one of his "ties" came off.
Oh and Kristen, he's not in pain - it's just different. He has a lot to get used to. And he might need to wear the expander for 6 months (we hope not).
Oh, I feel for him! (although he doesn't look like he's in too much pain ;) I am so glad my days in braces are over. Although, my kids are right on track for every single one of them needing braces! Lucky them!!
Davis told me, "I think I'm allergic to the sun." Me: "Why do you think that?" Davis: "I sneeze everytime I look at it." ---------------------------------------- In noticing Jake (8) had the letters "P-I-M-P" written on his knuckles... Me in a shocked voice: Do you know what that means? Jake: No. Me: Why are you writing words you don't know on your hand? Mick: Where did you hear that word? Jake looking totally confused and innocent: The P is for pinkie, the I is for index, M is for middle, and P for pointer. ---------------------------------------- Bennett said, "Mom, life is good." ---------------------------------------- Bennett told his 5 year old girlfriend, "Cheese makes me toot."
----------------------------------------
Bennett and Kyle received "Honesty" awards at their school assembly.

Doesn't look too comfortable. Hopefully he is being a good sport.
