Jake was so excited to be baptized. Probably the most excited I've seen anybody. He was counting the days. Here he is before we left to the church...look at that smile.
When Mick pulled him out of the water, he turned to the kids sitting around the font and just beamed at them.

He was baptized with Kennedy McClure, from our Ward. Her mom was teasing them that they'll probably get married in 15 years. Maybe that's why on Sunday when they called them both up front to sit, Jake left an empty chair in between them. I thought it was pretty funny.
Later that night Jake told me he felt warm inside and I asked him if he knew why and he said it was because he has the Holy Ghost now. And in his prayers that night he thanked Heavenly Father for that gift.

So exciting about Jake's baptism--you really need to have him write down his feelings. It would be so sweet to look back on someday.
I'm sad to have missed it, but between sick kids, Elizabeth's birthday party and grandparents in town I had to :(
