For those of you who don't know, my boys consider themselves "skaters" and beg everyday to go to the skate park. We've been to all three (that we know about), but Davis and Kyle prefer the Richland skate park. I took them there on Monday when they had no school and took pictures. Davis is the only one that actually skateboards.
Kyle prefers to ride his scooter.

Jake likes to ride his Heely's and his scooter.
Bennett loves to watch his brothers and try to do their tricks in his flip-flops.
I figure it's all harmless and fun as long as they don't end up like these guys and hang out at skate parks in the middle of the afternoon when they're in their 40's and aren't there with kids?
Or end up with too many of these.

How cute is Bennett doing tricks in his flip flops!? :-) It always cracks me up when I drive past there and see the middle school girls sitting on the sidelines watching the boys skate. I so would have done that at 14...I'm locking my girls up right now.

I love the photo of Kyle with his wheels getting total air! Anderson is pretty new at the whole thing but he would love to go too a skate park! You'll have to tell me where they are.
You are a good mom for taking your boys to the skate park Jodi. I wonder if I took Tyler, if he'd actually use his skateboard. These are good pictures. Yeah, let's hope that your boys don't turn out to be 40 year old skaters! That owie looks like it hurts.
Just to clarify-I didn't say the men were losers, just that I don't want my boys to be like them. ;) And I was HOPING no one's related to them-and since I know you only have sisters Debbie, I knew I was at least safe with you. :) And if the men had kids there with them, I'd think it was cool they were skating with their KIDS. :)

I was going to ask the same thing as Heather! Looks like fun, I think I will be locking my girls up as well!
My Jacob LOVES to go to the skate park too. When we go it's usually just him TRYING to skate and us (me and his two sisters) watching him. He gets intimidated by the older kids and then wants to leave. It makes me sad. Maybe I should go when you go so he has someone to hang out with. Jacob likes the park down in Kennewick by KGH.
Um, I think the one guy leaning on his skateboard noticed me taking pictures, but I tried to make it look like I was looking for someone (I guess not very well). And my boys are just TRYING too. Some teenagers are very friendly and try to help teach them tricks-but there's those that just yell for them to get out of the way or watch out. I'd love for someone to hang out with me and watch the kids. Just let me know.
That's hilarious that you took pictures of those other guys! I agree--you are a good mom to take them to the skate parks. Looks like they're having fun, and Bennett is so cute copying his big brothers.
Seriously, you are awesome that you take them to a skate park. I can't believe I've lived here my entire life and had no idea we had a skate park, let alone three! And there's no way those guys are in their 40's, more like late 20's, early 30's maybe, but still...I'm a little embarrassed for them.
Dallin loves his skateboard and has been dying to go the the skatepark too. The old guys there is hilarious, I guess they are reliving their glory day. Wait a minute, they aren't that old, they look youger than me.
Did that guy ask you why you were talking his picture? He totally looked like he's possing for you. That's too funny. Davis told us in class he got to go and loves it.
