We had a great time at the McDonald's Grand Opening in West Richland on Saturday. We went with Mick's family, the McDonalds, and enjoyed the show and the $1.99 Happy Meals (which goes through the 24th).

Has anyone else wondered about the gender of Grimace?? Well, I asked yesterday when I met HIM for the first time. He's male...another mystery solved. Then I asked him if he minded getting his picture taken with my boys. He gladly agreed.
(Davis, Kyle, Jake, and Bennett with Grimace)
Grimace couldn't help himself from flirting with Mick... Mick was totally unaware of Grimace's gender too, that's why he hugged back. After the show, Grimace came "out" and introduced himself to Mick. He came up to him and asked, "Did someone pat you on the head and hug you?" And Mick said, "Yes, Grimace did." And the guy said, "That was ME." Mick was totally embarassed.
Jake got chosen out of a bunch of kids to help participate in a magic trick (see video in post below). Everyone was laughing and having a great time. Especially Jake and Ronald. Ronald's quite the tease.
Ronald's giving Jake some special instructions below.
Ronald told Davis that HE's the oldest McDonald brother. The kids thought it was great that we have the same last name. (Ronald, Davis, Bennett, Jake, and Kyle)
The boy's twin cousins Dayne and Madisyn were also chosen to particapate in different acts with Ronald, that's why Dayne's wearing his Ronald mask in the cousins picture below. (Dakota, Ronald, Madisyn, Davis, Dayne, Tylan, Bennett, Jake, and Kyle)
If anyone goes to the W. Richland McDonald's after Tuesday, make sure you check out the bulletin board. They took lots of pictures of my boys, their cousins, and even us adults - especially when they found out we were McDonalds. We plan on checking it out and enjoying the $1.99 Happy Meals again!!

Thanks for clearing up the Grimace gender issue. I was always leaning towards male but wasn't positive. You never know with fictional characters!
That looked like a quarter pounder of fun Jodi.
These pictures are great Jodi. I love going to events like this where the kids get entertained and have a great time for free. It looks like your kids had a great time.
awesome! What a cool thing for your boys to participate in and you got so many pictures! Happy scapbooking

Is this the one across from Target? If so, we ate there at least a week ago or more...the grand opening was just on Saturday?
That's creepy about Grimace and Mick. Ew.
I would never have recognized Tylan and Dakota if you hadn't said it was them. They've grown up so much!
Looks fun! I will definitely need to tease Mick about this one..Ha.
How much fun is this for your boys?
Love the magic show too!
Grimace...ewwww.
Spencer told me about seeing you in Yoke's and he told me about the blogging comment too. So funny. When he makes fun of me for knowing so many women around here through blogging, I just tell him that blogging is really bringing the women of our stake together ;)
Amen about the blogging Tiffany! Did Spencer also tell you how scary I looked? I can't remember if I had a hat on or bed head that day. It was very embarassing. I probably should have just walked by and not brought any attention to myself. Oh well.
ok, Jodi, by far my fav has ALWAYS been grimace!!! lucky kids. i just think he always looked so cuddly and like he'd make a good friend (who needs a purple dinosaur when you've got grimace?)....lol...hey i don't know if you'd heard about the progressive carnival on Halloween or not. if you want info, i've got some posted on my blog. take a peek and let me know of any questions....hope to see ya'll that night. prior to that i'll see you at church Sunday. =)

HEEEElarious. Did he whisper in Micks ear "Do you want Fries to go with that shake"?
Yes, I still have the black and brown earings, dang my mom was just here yesturday, but they would be about $2 to mail. Let me know if you want them for sure.
Keely-what's your blog address? It won't take me to your blog by just clicking on your name/picture.
What fun. $1.99 Happy Meals for lunch this week will make my boys really happy.
Dude,
How did we not know about a McDonald's grand opening? Seriously Rachael is like their poster child. Looks like it was some good times. Such a happy looking McDonald family you ALL are.
(Looks like the Hamburglar has got himself some competition, Mick and Grimace look adorable together.)
Now jodi...when I went to McDonalds a few years back Grimmace was a girl. :) Fun times with Ronald. Love the bug story below!
How fun, you got some great pictures! I hadn't heard about this either, but I am loving the 1.99 happy meals! Thanks for the info
