Mick has decided that Davis is finally old enough to mow our lawn. Which is HUGE considering how Mick is about "his" lawn (he barely lets me mow the lawn). I, on the other hand, wasn't too sure about this milestone for Davis considering how accident prone he is. A lawn mower can be a very dangerous thing. But knowing Mick and how precise he likes his lawn - I knew he'd be right by his side.

All in all, Davis did a great job and I'm sure will have a lot more "opportunities" to mow the lawn from now on. And he only came in with a blister. Not too bad for him!!

When I was finally old enough to mow the lawn(we were on an acre, so it was at least 2 1/2 hours)I quickly discovered if I did a crappy enough job, I wasn't asked again unless absolutely necessary. Hopefully Davis will take a little more pride in his work!

Yeehaw for lawn mowers, I haven't touched my lawn mower this whole summer! So nice. Tell Mick to relax with a lemonaide on the lawn chair and enjoy having sons! Even if he does a bad job it will grow right back! :)
Looking Good Davis! I haven't done lawn duty since I was your age, that is, until a couple of weeks ago. Its a lot more work then I thought. Needless to say I am Off lawn duty once again!

What a good age to teach him how to mow the lawn. It's good for them to start feeling responsible. I remember mowing the lawn in my short shorts and my tank top while I was growing up. I wouldn't do that now, even if someone paid me a $100. :) Cute pictures Jodi.
I love it when the boys can mow! That is a great job for them! It may not be perfect....but it is done!

Wow, neato! I'm sure Davis is excited to have this responsibility. It looks like he did an excellent job.
My dad tought me how to mow when I was 8 years old. He pays me $20. Mowing the lawn isn't that bad. sometimes it can be fun but sometimes it can't be fun. I just asked my dad today if I could mow the lawn. Great job Davis.

I just read your post about Davis choking on the hot dog. Seriously, that boy has had the worst luck ever this summer! I do have some bubble wrap if you're needing extra!
