Three great friends of mine suggested we blog about things we'd hate to admit. For some reason this has been tough for me... I don't know if it's because I have too many to narrow it down or what. I know it's not because I'd be too embarassed by the thought of sharing personal/possibly embarassing things, because if you know me - I'm pretty open. Well, I guess I better try before the day's over...here goes:
~
"I HATE TO ADMIT..."
*I used to run around with my shirt off until I was about 8 years old and my mom MADE me put one on. I just wanted to be one of the guys.
*I used to sport a bi-level haircut (a female version of a mullet) in 8th grade.
*I always needed to have a boyfriend, so I'd rotate between three boys in high school.
*I need people to like me -- therefore I have a HARD time telling people "No."
*I wondered where the sound of a BB gun came from, so I put my thumb under the..I think it's called the hammer of the gun and pulled the trigger. Shattered my thumbnail. What was I thinking?!
*I think I have the cutest boys and want everyone to agree with me.
*I always wanted to be a mother of boys, but I sometimes get sad about the idea of never having a daughter.
*That it's REALLY hard for me to not be in good physical shape. I want to be able to do everything I used to be able to do and be good at it.
*I used to have a tail in high school. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's when you have a small section of hair in the back or on the side that's longer than the rest and you sometimes braid it. I had to hide it from my mom, so I'd tuck it behind my ear.
*I was VERY rebellious growing up...that's as much as I'm admitting there.
*I have a hard time cutting my boys curls.
*I can't handle bloody situations very well.
*That I still kiss my boys on the lips (except for Kyle - he won't let me anymore).
*That I know there's more fun and entertaining things that I'd "hate to admit" to but I'm getting older and my brain isn't working like it used to.

This was a great list! Having said that, due to your past choices in hair styles, I am not sure I will ever look at you the same again. Maybe running around with your shirt off had something to do with your later rebellion!! And I hope you know, I really really like you. And I would still like you, even if you told me no.
3 cheers for you!
look at you and your totally benign list. =) there's a REASON i do not & have no plans to post a list. lol. it was fun getting to visit, even if it was only for a moment or two tonight! i miss you on tuesdays. i can't wait for april, when davis gets to join the mutual ranks and you get to come out to VB more often. yeah, and ok i won't be abbreviating volleyball like that any more cause instantly when i read it reminds me of something else. ha ha ha!
i love ya always. no matter what. =0)
(and p.s. you can tell me no as well, and i won't take it personal!)
Great stuff! I'm not going to post my I hate to admits though, but I loved yours, especially the tail:)
Glad you posted this list, too! I can't believe you could hide a tail of hair from your mom by tucking it behind your ear...and why would that even matter if you had one of those?! Moms are so weird. ;) I'm the same way, always wanted to be a mother of girls but sometimes get sad about never having a son. I can't imagine my 8 year old daughter running around without a shirt on. She would die of embarrassment. ;) I think Rachael is onto something there.
I love you Jodi!! I love your honesty and sweetness in this post.
I love your header picture too. Didn't know you had it on here.
This list was great and I can see you doing all of the things listed! Why is that?? Great post idea. Maybe I'll do it, but I can't think of anything clever. So fun!
What a fun idea, it was fun reading. I think I might have to make one to, very brave!!!
Great list Jody! I remember your hair! You were always cool like that, and in the eighties that was very cool!
A mullet AND a tail? You sure did make the most of the hideous 80's hair trends!
I love you too Jodi. You are so honest and real and NEVER make me feel insecure about myself. And you are a blast to hang out with!
Loved your list.
