Jake obviously needed a haircut - but I refused to pay for another one (he's the only one I take somewhere to get cut) and I've been too busy lately to do it myself. But yesterday I decided he NEEDED one now - so I got out the clippers. I knew I wanted it short for summer - and this was the "style" he chose. He's always been "envious" of his straight-haired brothers (although Davis's hair has gotten curly now that it's long) and this is the closest he can get to it. He at least has Bennett fooled. I asked Bennett what he thought of Jake's new haircut and he said, "I LIKE it! It looks like mine!" Jake wanted me to take pictures (I was planning on it anyway) so we could put it on the blog. Funny how kids enjoy this blogging stuff too.

Looks great. I love his curls, but you've got to go with something short for summer swimming. Doesn't it feel good to be able to do a haircut, saves some cash for other things.

I was going through my alblum and have the 4th of July (like two days after we moved in) with you guys and have the cutest picture of him. He actually looks exactly the same, soooo cute. Eric wants that shave but I can't find my cord to my razers.
He is so handsome with or without those curls! I remember my youngest with his lush curls. It was hard to cut them all off, but it had to happen.

What a cutie. I am a sucker for curls on boys, but I love the buzz, too. We always just shave Payson's head so that we don't have to pay for someone else to do it. Plus he has way too many cowlicks to have any other hairstyle, anyway.
I finished The Host - it was very good. I don't know if Terra wants me to just give it to you or if she wants me to drop it off at her place and have you pick it up there. I blogged her and haven't heard back.
He's so cute. I could never get Tyler to smile that big after a haircut. I think it's cuz I buzz his hair every 3 weeks. He hates getting it cut. Jake is a cutie through and through!
